We created it because we saw firsthand what happens when people spend years disconnected from nature, surrounded by chemicals, processed products, and a healthcare system focused more on managing symptoms than preventing illness.
For years, Meg worked as a nurse, caring for patients who kept getting sicker. She watched people cycle through medications while the deeper root causes of their health struggles were rarely addressed. And over time, she began to realize something heartbreaking: so much of what we accept as "normal" in modern life is making us unwell.
The air fresheners in our homes. The synthetic fragrances in our personal care products. The pesticides on our food. The plastic in our clothing. The harsh chemicals in our cleaning supplies. The endocrine disruptors hidden in everyday products we use without thinking twice.
And the scariest part? Most people have no idea.

Eight years of research became a mission.
Meg's own health journey opened her eyes to just how toxic our world has become. Over eight years, she spent countless hours researching ingredients, learning about environmental toxins, working with functional medicine practitioners, and slowly transforming her home into a safer, healthier space for her family.
She began asking harder questions: Why are infertility rates rising? Why are chronic illnesses becoming so common? Why are children dealing with more health challenges than ever before? And she realized that while we can't control everything in the world around us, we can control what we bring into our homes.
Root and Ritual was built so you don't have to spend eight years figuring it out yourself. Every product is selected with intention. Every brand is researched. Every item reflects the values we believe in.
